From today onwards, there will be a route diversion on the Agra Expressway for a week due to the Air Force’s Gagan Shakti exercise. The diversion will be in effect from Kabirpur near the airstrip, starting Tuesday morning until Sunday evening. Regular traffic will not be allowed on the four-kilometer stretch around the airstrip. Vehicles will be redirected from there to the service road. Police duty has been deployed there to alleviate traffic congestion issues.
Sukhoi, Mirage, Jaguar to Participate
The Gagan Shakti Exercise 2024 of the Air Force will involve participation from Jaguar, Sukhoi, Mirage, helicopters, and other Air Force aircraft. This exercise will take place on the airstrip located in front of Kabirpur village. During this time, vehicles will be diverted from Haibatmau Underpass to Bangarmau-Sandila Underpass. Air Force officials held discussions on various important issues with district administration and police officers.
UPEIDA Initiates Toll Plaza Announcement
The Agra Expressway spans a total of 302 kilometers and also includes an airstrip, facilitating emergency landings for Air Force combat and transport aircraft. Practice landings and touch-downs of combat aircraft will take place on April 7th on this airstrip as part of the Gagan Shakti exercise. This exercise will continue until April 10th. UPEIDA has initiated announcements regarding the toll plaza route diversion. Barricading is being done around the airstrip, which is undergoing improvements. The approximately 4-kilometer area will remain completely closed during this period.
