In a surprising turn of events, Delhi Capitals (DC) have reportedly approached Mumbai Indians (MI) for the trade of Rohit Sharma ahead of the IPL 2024 season. With MI appointing Hardik Pandya as the captain, DC aimed to secure Rohit Sharma’s services to lead their side in the upcoming season.

However, MI rejected the offer, and Rishabh Pant is expected to continue leading the DC squad. This decision comes as a blow to MI, as fans express their support for Rohit Sharma on social media, with the team losing over 400k followers.

Under Rohit Sharma’s captaincy, MI achieved remarkable success, winning all five IPL finals they reached. His contribution to the team includes a total of 6,211 runs in 243 matches, making him the most successful IPL captain with five trophies.

Stays tuned for further developments as the IPL 2024 auction approaches.
