Mumbai: Filmmaker Karan Johar opens the doors to his opulent Mumbai abode, providing a glimpse into a home that seamlessly blends comfort and style. In a recent episode of Asian Paints Where The Heart Is season 7, Johar showcases his apartment, boasting sweeping city views, high ceilings, and a blend of vibrant decor elements.
Lots of Beiges with Pops of Colour
Johar describes the theme of his home as a play of beiges and creams, creating a textured and visually appealing atmosphere. From massive chandeliers and paintings in the living and dining rooms to rich green sofas in the family room, Johar’s residence is a vibrant display of carefully chosen colors.
Family Photos, Plants, and Simplicity
Every room in the house, shared with his mother Hiroo Johar and twins Yash and Roohi, features family photos and plants. The filmmaker’s bedroom, done up in shades of beige and brown, stands out for its simplicity compared to the rest of the house.
Karan Johar’s Massive Walk-in Closet
Highlighting one of the home’s unique features, Johar unveils a room dedicated to his clothes and accessories. He emphasizes, “This is not a walk-in closet. This is a rather big space, where you can actually run in. It is an entire bedroom we broke to make a closet.” The room, adorned with full-length mirrors and beige cupboards, reflects Johar’s fashion choices.
Karan’s Spacious Patio
The Mumbai home seamlessly integrates indoor and outdoor living, featuring a spacious patio with white and blue couches. Johar remarks, “This is the patio, this is the deck. It is actually air-conditioned… The element of blue runs right through this part of the house.” The patio offers breathtaking views of Mumbai, providing an ideal space for relaxation and socializing.
As per housing.com, Johar’s duplex apartment is priced around ₹30 crore, spreading over 8,000 sq ft on the 12th floor of a highrise building on Carter Road in Bandra.
