The group, known as Sidhu, arrived in Varanasi on Wednesday as part of the second phase of Kashi Tamil Sangamam, which commenced on December 17. The writers commenced their visit by offering Gangajal to Baba Kashi Vishwanath at the revered Kashi Vishwanath Temple. They also engaged in traditional folk dances and songs at Shankaracharya Chowk on KV Corridor premises, seeking the blessings of Baba Kashi Vishwanath.
Appreciating the changes in the Kashi Vishwanath Temple, the writers visited Baba Vishwanath on their arrival day. The delegation received detailed information about the temple’s history and amenities from pundits and offered prayers to Maa Ganga.
As part of their visit, the writers explored Maa Vishalakshi and Maa Annapurna temples, concluding their pilgrimage at Annapurna Bhawan with a shared meal (prasad).
