Three new Vande Bharat Express trains will commence operations in Bihar from March 12, bringing good news for travelers between Patna and Ayodhya, Lucknow, New Jalpaiguri, and Ranchi to Varanasi. Prime Minister Narendra Modi is set to inaugurate these three trains simultaneously, displaying the green flag on March 12. During the program, PM Modi will virtually connect with various railway projects nationwide, including the foundation laying for station redevelopment projects. The stations where Vande Bharat Express will halt are expected to host the inauguration events. The detailed schedule and fares for these trains will be released within the next two days. The Patna to Lucknow route will connect key stations such as Deen Dayal Upadhyaya Junction, Varanasi, Jaunpur, and Sahibganj on its journey to Ayodhya. The Jalpaiguri Express will travel via Bakhtiyarpur, Mokama, Nawgachhia, Khagaria, Begusarai, and Kishanganj to reach Katihar. The Ranchi to Varanasi Vande Bharat Express will pass through Gaya Junction, Deen Dayal Upadhyaya Junction, and reach Varanasi. The successful trial run of the Patna to Lucknow route took place on Wednesday, covering the distance within the scheduled time. The trial run between New Jalpaiguri and Patna also occurred on Tuesday, proving successful. After the trial, the Vande Bharat Express will commence its regular service following the same routes, providing a seven-hour journey from New Jalpaiguri to Patna and approximately three hours from Nawgachhia to Patna. Prime Minister Modi is expected to kickstart the service by displaying the green flag this week.
