In a recent development, the White House has issued a clarification regarding a statement made by U.S. President Joe Biden concerning unsubstantiated allegations of “terrorists beheading children” in Israel. The statement, made during a meeting with Jewish leaders, has sparked controversy and confusion.

President Biden had vividly described the horrors of the ongoing conflict, stating, “I never really thought that I would see and have confirmed pictures of terrorists beheading children.” However, senior administration officials have clarified that the President was, in fact, referring to reports from Israel about beheaded children and had cited various media reports on the matter. Notably, these reports have not been independently verified.

The controversial allegation of “beheaded” infants, which has been employed to denounce Hamas’ armed offensive in Israel, first surfaced when the official government Twitter account of Israel shared a video from i24NEWS reporter Nicole Zedek, detailing the devastation at the Kfar Aza kibbutz. The reporter stated that “40 babies were murdered,” and subsequently, several media outlets, including CBS and the Times of India, ran stories alleging the beheadings of over three dozen infants.

However, it’s important to note that the Israeli army spokesperson, as reported by the Anadolu Agency, has stated that there is no confirmation of these claims. The situation remains contentious and under scrutiny as the world watches for further developments and verification of these distressing allegations.
