Garcetti’s ebullient effusion further emphasized the potential avenues for India-US cooperation in the cosmic realm.
The Counselor Space at the Embassy of India in Washington DC, Krunal Joshi, was deeply moved as Chandrayaan-3 executed a gentle alighting on the lunar crust. He expressed, “Chandrayaan-3 is poised to steer the trajectory towards a harmonious and sustainable exploration of the celestial expanse, presided over by India.”
Concurrently, Sripriya Ranganathan, Deputy Ambassador at the Embassy of India, Washington DC, extended felicitations to Prime Minister Narendra Modi, encapsulating the spirit of knowledge-seeking that Bharat embodies. He proclaimed, “Kudos to Prime Minister Narendra Modi… We hail from the realm christened ‘Bharat,’ bathed in the luminescence of erudition. We, as pursuers of wisdom, stand at a proud juncture.”

The Embassy of India in Washington, D.C. hosted a special screening of Chandrayaan-3’s lunar descent, inviting dignitaries such as NASA’s chief technologist A.C. Charania to witness this historic juncture.
The live telecast of Chandrayaan-3’s soft landing was presented on the ISRO website, captivating students across the nation as they watched the Automatic Landing Sequence (ALS) etch history.
As Chandrayaan-3 gracefully alighted on the Moon, confectioneries were disseminated at the Embassy of India, heightening the celebratory fervor.
Launched from the Satish Dhawan Space Centre in Sriharikota on July 14, Chandrayaan-3 embarked on its journey. Guided by a GSLV Mark 3 (LVM 3) heavy-lift launch vehicle, the spacecraft was strategically positioned in lunar orbit on August 5. A sequence of orbital maneuvers meticulously lowered it in proximity to the lunar surface.
Chandrayaan-3’s objectives encompass a secure and gentle touchdown, mobility of the rover across lunar terrain, and on-site scientific explorations.
