The Rajasthan state government has undertaken a significant administrative reshuffle by transferring 72 IAS officers, including 33 district collectors and magistrates. The decision, issued on the night between Friday and Saturday, aims to bring fresh leadership to key positions.

Notable appointments include Sidharth Sihag, former district collector and magistrate of Churu, who has been appointed joint secretary to the chief minister. Additionally, Rukmani Riar takes over as the commissioner of Jaipur Greater, succeeding Babu Lal Goyal. Goyal, in turn, assumes the role of director of Swachh Bharat Mission.

Abhishek Surana, previously the CEO of Jodhpur Zila Parishad, has been appointed commissioner of Jaipur Heritage, with an additional role as the secretary of the Rajasthan Electricity Regulatory Commission. Moreover, Ashish Modi, former collector and district magistrate of Bhilwara, assumes the position of director of the Secondary Education Department in Bikaner.

The transfers aim to streamline administrative responsibilities and bring a fresh perspective to key departments.
