In a late-night incident, a train accident has occurred in Ajmer, Rajasthan. According to reports, four coaches and the engine of a superfast train derailed from the tracks near the railway station. Fortunately, there have been no fatalities reported, although some individuals sustained minor injuries and have been taken to the hospital for treatment. The incident, which took place around 1:00 AM, involved a collision between the Sabarmati Express and a freight train.

Officials stated that the Sabarmati-Agra Superfast train’s engine and four coaches derailed near the Madar Railway Station. Upon receiving news of the accident, rescue teams immediately rushed to the scene. Several passengers suffered minor injuries, with some recounting the sudden jolt waking them from sleep, causing panic among them.

Efforts are underway by the rescue teams, including Railway Protection Force (RPF), Government Railway Police (GRP), additional Railway Divisional Managers (ADRM), and senior officers, to bring the derailed coaches and engine back on track.

The incident came as a shock to passengers who were mostly asleep at the time of the accident. The sudden jolt caused passengers to fall from their seats, leading to confusion and agitation among them.

The train’s locomotive pilot applied emergency brakes, but the collision with the freight train still occurred. Further details are awaited as the investigation into the incident continues.
