New York, According to a recent CNN poll, Indian American Nikki Haley has emerged as the leading Republican presidential contender capable of challenging incumbent US President Joe Biden in the forthcoming November 2024 elections.

While the 2024 Presidential election features a dozen Republican candidates, including Nikki Haley and Vivek Ramaswamy, the frontrunner remains former President Donald Trump. However, CNN’s latest polls have painted a different landscape.

In the hypothetical matchups presented, there was no clear leader if President Biden were to face one of the other major GOP contenders, except for one significant exception: former South Carolina Governor Nikki Haley. CNN reported that in a hypothetical match between the two, Haley held a lead with 49 percent compared to Biden’s 43 percent.

What distinguishes Nikki Haley further is her broader support among white voters with college degrees. She commands 51 percent of that demographic, in contrast to other Republican candidates tested in the poll, who garnered 48 percent or less among this group.

The Haley campaign responded positively to the poll, asserting, “This poll confirms what many Democrats and Republicans are saying: Democrats are terrified of running against Nikki Haley.” A senior Democratic strategist close to the Biden campaign echoed this sentiment, stating, “If they nominate Nikki Haley, we’re in trouble.”

While the poll results indicate a split among registered voters in the USA, with Trump at 47 percent and Biden at 46 percent, it demonstrates that the road to the 2024 Presidential election remains unpredictable, with a dynamic and diverse field of candidates vying for the nation’s highest office.
