Kerala Congress has criticized the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) following reports of a delegation from China’s envoy’s team visiting the RSS headquarters in Nagpur, Maharashtra. The party’s post on X captioned a media report with “Ab Ki Baar Xi Jinping?” questioning the RSS’s engagement with China.
Contrary to the criticism, a TOI report suggests that the Chinese delegation, consisting of scholars specializing in Hindi, participated in a workshop at Mahatma Gandhi Antarrashtriya Hindi Vishwavidyalaya in Nagpur on December 7th. The RSS clarified that the visit was limited to the Hedgewar memorial as part of the delegation’s sightseeing tour, and they did not visit the Sangh headquarters in Mahal.
This development comes amid ongoing diplomatic and military dialogues between India and China, with the Ministry of External Affairs emphasizing that the relationship is “not normal.” Despite efforts to address border tensions, a resolution remains elusive.
