Ayodhya, In a significant move, Air India Express has announced the commencement of direct flights from Ayodhya to Delhi, Bengaluru, and Kolkata, reinforcing connectivity to and from the historic temple town.
The airline’s inaugural flights between Ayodhya and Delhi coincide with the inauguration of the Maharishi Valmiki International Airport Ayodhya Dham on December 30, adding a new dimension to the region’s air travel infrastructure.
Starting January 17, the airline will operate non-stop flights between Ayodhya and Bengaluru, with the first flight departing at 08:05 and arriving in Ayodhya at 10:35. The return flight will leave Ayodhya at 15:40 and touch down in Bengaluru at 18:10.
Additionally, the Ayodhya-Kolkata route will see flights taking off from Ayodhya at 11:05, landing in Kolkata at 12:50. The return leg will depart from Kolkata at 13:25 and reach Ayodhya at 15:10.
Dr. Ankur Garg, Chief Commercial Officer of Air India Express, expressed the airline’s commitment to expanding connectivity throughout India. He emphasized the role of Bengaluru and Kolkata as pivotal hubs, serving as gateways to Ayodhya, and providing convenient one-stop itineraries for pilgrims from South and Eastern India.
The airline has released the schedule for tri-weekly non-stop flights between Ayodhya, Bengaluru, and Kolkata. Bookings are available through the airline’s mobile app, website (airindiaexpress.com), and other major booking platforms.
As Air India Express takes flight on these new routes, it signals a positive development for Ayodhya’s accessibility, catering to both pilgrimage and general travel needs.
