Nawada, Bihar: In the matter of keeping an elderly journalist of Nawada district in custody and being handcuffed by Akbarpur police station chief Ajay Kumar, the game of saving the SP in the name of investigation and clarification is likely to be exposed soon. This would be possible with the complete document sought by Pranav Kumar Churchill, a well-known RTI activist of the district, under the Right to Information Act 2005.
Let us tell you that Ajay Kumar, who was fed up with the news of dozens of green rosewood trees planted on the land of the Shepherd School, being cut and used for personal use, called the journalist from Akbarpur market on the evening of May 20 and arrested him without any documents. Was. Later, he was locked in custody and handed over to the Thali police station with handcuffs in his hand. Not only this, the photo itself was made viral on social media. The objective was to defame the reputation of the journalist.
Taking the said matter seriously, the journalists of the district submitted an application to the SP on May 23, demanding action against the police station chief responsible for the case. Then the SP had assured action after investigation.
In the name of investigation, till now the work of saving the police station chief is being done. While the journalists reminded again for not taking action on the applications given earlier. Despite this, no action has been taken so far.
Taking the matter seriously, in the light of news published in newspapers and social media, RTI activist Pranav Kumar Churchill has demanded SP to provide certified copy of the entire document.
