Patna, Bihar: Aman Anand, a resident hailing from Barh in the Patna district, has achieved the highest rank in the 67th Joint Competitive Examination of the Bihar Public Service Commission (BPSC). The results of this prestigious examination were officially declared this past Saturday.
Securing the second position is Nikita Kumari, while the third position is held by Ankita Choudhary. All three of these top-performing individuals have been appointed to the coveted Bihar Administrative Service (BAS). Following the necessary training, they are eligible to assume the position of a sub-divisional magistrate (SDM).
Khalid Hayat and Rishav Anand, ranking fourth and fifth, have been assigned roles in the Bihar Police Service as Deputy Superintendents of Police (DySP). Priyanshu Kumar, who clinched the sixth position, will serve as an assistant planning officer
It is noteworthy that among the top eight candidates, four, or 50 percent, are female. Apeksha Modi and Sonal Singh have secured the seventh and eighth positions, respectively. Both of these accomplished individuals have been appointed to the Bihar Administrative Service (BAS). It’s worth mentioning that Apeksha Modi hails from Koderma in Jharkhand.
Mukesh Kumar Yadav, who secured the ninth position, has also been allotted a role in the Bihar Administrative Service (BAS). Meanwhile, Tarun Kumar Pandey, ranking tenth, has been appointed to the Bihar Police Service.
As per an official communication from the BPSC, a total of 799 candidates were declared successful out of the 802 vacancies. A total of 2,104 candidates successfully passed the written main examination, with 2,090 candidates participating in the interview (viva examination). Fourteen candidates remained absent from the interview process. Furthermore, the results of 15 candidates who participated in the interview were canceled due to various reasons, as confirmed by the commission.
The final merit list was meticulously crafted based on the combined performance of the remaining 2,075 candidates in both their written and viva examinations, according to the BPSC.
