NEW DELHI: Central consumer protection authority (CCPA) on Friday issued a notice to e-commerce giant Amazon for marketing sweets disguised as “Shri Ram Mandir Ayodhya Prasad” and concealing details of the manufacturers, and allowing them to make misleading advertisement.
An Amazon spokesperson said, “We have received a communication from CCPA regarding misleading product advertised by certain seller(s) and investigating them for violations.”
