In the realm of cutting-edge technology, Apple’s annual unveiling of the latest iPhone has become a hallmark event, eagerly awaited by tech enthusiasts worldwide. This year, the iPhone 15 was unveiled during Apple’s Wonderlust event on September 12, with sales commencing on September 22. The event was marked by long queues forming outside Apple’s flagship stores in Delhi, a testament to the device’s unwavering allure.

However, a question lingers in the minds of some: Is it imperative for Apple to launch a new iPhone each year? In a recent interview with Brut, Apple’s CEO Tim Cook shed light on this matter. In his response, he articulated, “I think having an iPhone every year for those people that want it is a great thing.”

Moreover, Cook delved into Apple’s policy of allowing users to trade in their old iPhones for new models. Notably, he emphasized the sustainable approach by stating, “We then resell those phones if they are still functional.” Addressing non-functional devices, Cook disclosed that Apple meticulously disassembles them, repurposing their materials in the creation of new iPhones, underscoring the company’s commitment to environmental responsibility.

Turning our attention to the iPhone 15, the 128GB variant retails at Rs 79,900, while the 256GB and 512GB variants are priced at Rs 89,900 and Rs 1,09,900, respectively. The device sports a 6.1-inch display and offers an array of color options, including pink, yellow, green, blue, and black. Notably, the iPhone 15 maintains its design continuity with the iPhone 14 and previous models but introduces a Dynamic Island notch, an evolution from the traditional notch, which received acclaim in the iPhone 14 Pro models.

In the realm of photography, the iPhone 15 boasts a substantial upgrade with a 48-megapixel primary camera sensor, a significant leap from the 12-megapixel dual-camera system featured in the iPhone 14. A16 bionic processor powers the iPhone 15, showcasing Apple’s dedication to providing cutting-edge performance.

Of paramount significance is the shift to a USB Type-C charging port, marking a departure from the proprietary lightning port. This transition aligns the iPhone 15 with the broader industry standard, eliminating the need for users to carry a unique charging cable for their device.

In conclusion, Tim Cook’s insights provide a glimpse into Apple’s strategy of annual iPhone releases, satisfying the demands of those eager for the latest technological innovations. The iPhone 15, with its advanced features and sustainable practices, continues to captivate consumers while adapting to the ever-evolving tech landscape.
