In a dazzling display of marksmanship, the Indian contingent at the Hangzhou 2023 Asian Games secured a gold and silver medal in the shooting events, further enhancing India’s medal tally.

The women’s 25m pistol shooting team added to India’s glory by clinching the country’s fourth gold medal at the Asian Games. The triumphant trio of Manu Bhaker, Rhythm Sangwan, and Esha Singh exhibited exceptional precision and teamwork to secure the coveted gold. Manu Bhaker’s individual prowess propelled her to the top of the qualification standings, positioning her for the individual final alongside Esha Singh.

In a splendid showcase of India’s shooting prowess, the women’s rifle team also contributed to the nation’s medal haul by claiming a silver in the women’s 50m rifle 3-position event. The silver-winning trio comprised Ashi Chouksey, Manini Koushik, and Sift Kaur Samra, who displayed remarkable shooting prowess.

Amidst these outstanding achievements, the spotlight now turns to the Indian women’s hockey team, led by Savita Punia, as they embark on their campaign against Singapore. This comes on the heels of the Indian men’s team’s spectacular 16-1 victory against Singapore in the group stage.

Adding to the excitement, Nikhat Zareen, a prominent figure in Indian boxing, is set to compete against Chorong Bak of Korea. This bout holds significance as Zareen continues her quest for gold and an Olympic quota.

The remarkable success of Indian athletes at the Hangzhou 2023 Asian Games reflects their unwavering dedication and commitment to excellence. As India continues to shine on the global sporting stage, the nation eagerly awaits more victories and memorable moments in the days ahead.
