In an unexpected turn of events, aspirants for the Jharkhand Staff Selection Commission (JSSC) combined graduate-level exam gathered in protest at the JSSC office in Ranchi. The exam, originally scheduled for December 16 and 17, faced an abrupt cancellation, leading to discontent among thousands of aspirants.

Expressing their frustration, Imam Safi, one of the aspirants, stated, “The JSSC abruptly announced the cancellation of the CGL exam, citing unforeseen circumstances. This has left thousands of candidates shocked and angry. We have been preparing for it for several years.”

Rajesh Ojha, another aspirant, highlighted the repeated cancellations of the JSSC CGL exam over the past nine years, stating, “Many of us feel that our hard work and dedication have been wasted due to the abrupt cancellation.” Protesters called for transparency and accountability from the JSSC.

Carrying placards and banners with slogans like “Government should come to its senses” and “Justice for JSSC CGL aspirants,” the students demanded a thorough investigation into the reasons behind the cancellation and urged the authorities to reschedule the exam promptly.

In response to the protests, a JSSC official mentioned that the JSSC CGL is now set for January 21 and 28, with a confirmation for the latter date. However, considering other exams on the same day, the Commission might adjust the January 21 date. An update on the rescheduled date will be provided within 2-3 days.
