In anticipation of the consecration ceremony scheduled for January 22, the Sri Ram Janmabhoomi Tirath Kshetra Trust has shared images showcasing the ongoing construction of the first floor of the Ram Lala temple. These photos provide a sneak peek into the meticulous progress of the temple’s development.
Last week, Champat Rai, the trust’s general secretary, previously shared images capturing the sanctum-sanctorum (garbha griha) of the temple. As the consecration ceremony approaches, these glimpses offer a closer look at the temple’s evolving structure and the ongoing efforts to prepare for the installation of the idol of Ram Lalla.
Rai disclosed that the idol, portraying the child form of Lord Ram, is nearing completion, with 90% readiness across three locations in Ayodhya. The finishing touches are expected to be completed within a week, paving the way for the idol’s placement in the newly constructed temple.
The trust, responsible for overseeing the temple’s construction, has been consistent in sharing updates, including intricate carvings and the overall progress of this significant project. With the consecration ceremony just around the corner, preparations are in full swing, including the invitation of over 7,000 guests, including 3,000 VVIPs, for this auspicious occasion.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi is slated to attend the inauguration on January 22, wherein he will perform rituals in the sanctum sanctorum of the Ram Temple. The foundation stone for the temple was laid by PM Modi on August 5, 2020.
