Hyderabad, In a momentous ceremony held at the L B Stadium in Hyderabad, Congress leader Revanth Reddy assumed office as the Chief Minister of Telangana. The oath of office and secrecy was administered by Governor Tamilisai Soundararajan, marking the beginning of a new chapter in Telangana’s political landscape.
Revanth Reddy wasted no time in initiating governance actions on his first day in office. Two crucial files were promptly signed, underlining the new government’s commitment to fulfilling the promises made during the Telangana Assembly Election 2023. The first file focuses on implementing the six poll guarantees outlined by the Congress. The second file signifies a significant step towards inclusive governance by providing employment to a disabled woman.
The six guarantees, named “Mahalakshmi,” “Rythu Bharosa,” “Gruha Jyothi,” “Indiramma Indlu,” “Yuva Vikasam,” and “Cheyutha,” cover a broad spectrum of welfare measures. These include financial assistance, free electricity, housing benefits, educational support, and a pension for senior citizens.
Revanth Reddy’s cabinet features prominent figures, with Mallu Bhatti Vikramarka assuming the role of Deputy Chief Minister. Additionally, other ministers, including N Uttam Kumar Reddy, Komatireddy Venkata Reddy, and D Anasuya, took the oath of office during the ceremony.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi extended heartfelt congratulations to Revanth Reddy on assuming office. The Prime Minister assured unwavering support for the progress and welfare of Telangana under the new leadership.
