Bihar Weather: Patna. The Disaster Management Department has issued alerts to all District Magistrates and departments to prevent incidents during the heatwave and hot weather. According to the department, most parts of the state are experiencing above-normal fluctuations in both maximum and minimum temperatures. This could potentially impact daily life. In addition, emergency numbers should be issued in districts to prevent fire incidents. Fire brigade vehicles and officials should ensure timely arrival at the scene to carry out relief work.

Regular Information Dissemination by all District Magistrates:

Awareness campaigns should be conducted to educate people on how to protect themselves from heat and sunstroke during the summer. Names of nodal officers at the district and block levels should be made public. District magistrates should regularly provide information on heatwaves and sunstroke to the public.

Departmental Decisions for Public Welfare:

Departments such as Urban Development and Housing, Health, PHED, Education, Social Welfare, Animal and Fisheries Resources, Rural Development, Panchayati Raj, Labor Resources, Transport, and Energy should work for the welfare of the public at their respective levels. This will ensure that there are no shortages of medicines or water.

Guidelines for Fire Incidents:

Contact the Disaster Management Department at 0612-2294204 and 2294205.

Special relief centers should be set up in areas affected by severe fire incidents.

Relief efforts should continue for at least 48 hours.

Weather Forecast:

According to the Meteorological Department, a western disturbance is expected to affect the Himalayan region on April 5. Its impact will be felt in several districts of northwest and southwest Bihar. As a result, light rainfall is expected in many districts on April 7 and April 8, with cloudy skies keeping the weather dry. Currently, maximum temperatures in the state are two to three degrees Celsius above normal.
