According to information received from the Meteorological Department, there will be a significant increase in daytime temperatures in Bihar until April 24, but people will find relief from the heat at night.
The Meteorological Center has issued a yellow alert for Patna, Sheikhpura, Jamui, Bhojpur, Aurangabad, Banka, Nawada, and Nalanda. There is a possibility of heatstroke in one or two places in these districts. Meanwhile, the wind is expected to blow at a speed of 40 to 50 kilometers per hour.
Lowest and Highest Recorded Temperatures
During the last 24 hours, most parts of the state experienced hot winds, and due to the low humidity, the sun’s rays are directly hitting the earth. As a result, the highest temperature was recorded at 43 degrees in Sheikhpura, while the lowest minimum temperature was recorded at 20.5 degrees in Pusa, Samastipur. Additionally, Sheikhpura recorded the highest temperature of 44.1 degrees on Saturday. The impact of the heatwave was felt in Sheikhpura, Banka, and Jamui, according to the Meteorological Center.
Maximum Temperature Reached Over 40 Degrees in 10 Districts
According to the Meteorological Center, including Patna, there are 10 districts where the maximum temperature has crossed 40 degrees. On Saturday, Patna recorded a maximum temperature of 42.2, Gaya 43, West Champaran 41.1, Saran 40.3 degrees, Darbhanga 40, Rohtas 42.6, Madhubani 42, Motihari 41.2, Jamui 43.2, Siwan 41.2, Samastipur 40, Bhojpur 42.7, Sitamarhi 40.4, Aurangabad 43.7, Begusarai 41.2, Khagaria 42.5, Banka 42.5, Nawada 43.2, Nalanda 41.9 degrees.
Weather in Patna and Surrounding Areas
The temperature in Patna and surrounding areas is quite hot. For the past two days, the temperature in the city has exceeded 40 degrees. On Saturday, the city recorded a maximum temperature of 42.2 degrees Celsius, which was four degrees Celsius above normal for this season. The minimum temperature also increased, and it remained at 26.7 degrees Celsius.

According to the Meteorological Center, northwesterly winds are currently prevailing in Patna and the entire state. The wind speed is 20 to 25 kilometers per hour. The weather is not expected to provide relief in the coming three days. The weather will remain dry. As a result, it is quite hot during the day. People are experiencing discomfort due to the intense heat from the sun. However, the weather is providing some relief in the evening. According to the forecast, the temperature could rise by two to three degrees in the next three days.

The Meteorological Center has appealed to the people to be cautious in the next four to five days as there will be no decrease in daytime temperatures. Therefore, it is essential for people to take care when leaving home during the day. Drink plenty of water and cover the body when going out. Due to the northerly and northwesterly winds, there is a high probability of heatstroke.
