Bihar Weather Report: The intensity of heat in Bihar is currently severe. On Friday, Bihar recorded the highest temperature of the season so far. The entire state has been engulfed in scorching heat. From north to south, Bihar has turned into a heat island. Along with the heat, some areas have also experienced dangerous heatwaves (severe heatwave). The maximum temperature in the state has reached around 44 degrees Celsius.

The trend of intense heat in Bihar…

The severity of the heatwave can be gauged from the fact that the average maximum temperature in the state has been recorded to be four to seven degrees Celsius above normal. The scorching heat of this dry air has left people feeling uncomfortable. Life came to a standstill for some time during the afternoon.

Temperature across Bihar districts…

The highest maximum temperature in Bihar was recorded in Sheikhpura at 43.9 degrees Celsius. Additionally, Aurangabad recorded 43.7 degrees, Gopalganj 43.5 degrees, Gaya, Khagaria, and Nawada 43.1 degrees Celsius. The highest temperature in Banka was 42.7, in Rohtas, Bhojpur, and Jamui 42.6, in Nalanda 42.2, and in Patna 42.1 degrees Celsius. Except for Kishanganj and Araria, all remaining districts have recorded maximum temperatures exceeding 40 degrees Celsius. Bhagalpur and East Champaran have reported dangerous heatwaves.

Orange alert issued, possibility of rain and thunderstorms…

IMD has issued an orange alert for the heatwave on April 27. An orange alert has been particularly issued for northern Bihar. The situation is expected to remain similar in central-southern and southwestern Bihar. Some areas of the state may experience thunderstorms and rain due to the influence of a western disturbance. There is a possibility of light rain in northwestern Bihar, and Rohatas and Bhabhua in southwestern Bihar.

Why the weather might change…?

According to IMD, there is a forecast of good rainfall in the western Himalayan region and surrounding areas from Saturday due to the influence of a western disturbance. This may have a partial effect on Bihar’s weather.
