In a scathing verbal diatribe, Janata Dal (United) MLA Gopal Mandal has castigated Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) supremo Lalu Prasad Yadav for anointing Congress MP Rahul Gandhi as the prospective Prime Minister. Mandal emphatically rebuffed the notion that the mantle of the prime ministership could be claimed merely by utterance. In his impassioned critique, he opined, “No individual ascends to the position of Prime Minister through mere proclamation. While Lalu Prasad Yadav is undeniably a venerated figure, revered as a champion of the underprivileged, and an esteemed statesman within our constituency, the mere invocation of Rahul Gandhi’s name does not, by any measure, pave the path to premiership. It is worth noting that Lalu Prasad Yadav has recently undergone a kidney transplant, an episode that has evidently elicited a departure from rationality.”
