BPSC Assistant Professor Result 2024: The Bihar Public Service Commission (BPSC) has declared the final results of the Assistant Professor, Computer Science and Engineering Competitive Examination on its official website. The candidates, who appeared for the examination, can check and download their results online on the official website – https://www.bpsc.bih.nic.in/.

The interviews, conducted from November 27 to December 1, 2023, assessed 504 candidates who had passed the written (objective) examination for 208 Assistant Professor seats in Government Engineering Colleges under the Department of Science and Technology, Bihar (Advertisement No. 07/2022).

Out of the 439 candidates who appeared, two female candidates from the Economically Weaker Section failed to give the required certificate during document verification/interview. Regrettably, their exam results were cancelled as they did not meet the cut-off marks.

The remaining 437 candidates underwent a thorough assessment, with their combined merit list based on academic marks and interview performance. In cases of tied total marks, preference was given to candidates with higher marks in the written examination and, if needed, older candidates by date of birth. A post reserved for a candidate with a pending Ph.D. evolution ensured fair consideration for those awaiting degree completion.

Out of the 208 vacancies, 202 candidates were selected based on merit and reservation criteria, including provisions for disabled candidates. Due to the unavailability of five disabled candidates, five unreserved posts and one backward-class seat remain vacant.
