Patna, In a national competition, the Bihar State Load Dispatch Centre (BSLDC) achieved the esteemed ‘LDC Excellence Award.’ Grid India and Load Despatcher Forum instituted this award in 2020 to recognize the pivotal role of Load Dispatch Centres (LDCs) in the power sector.
The award ceremony, the third of its kind, took place at IIT-Delhi, where BSLDC was honored in the ‘Medium Load Dispatch Centre’ category. Aditya Prakash, Managing Director of North Bihar Power Distribution Company Limited, received the award from Grid India’s CMD S R Narsimhan, IIT-Delhi director Ranjan Banerjee, and Central Electricity Authority’s member A K Rajput.
This accolade, designed to encourage healthy competition and promote excellence and good governance, also saw Maharashtra SLDC and Meghalaya acknowledged in different categories.
Congratulating the team, BSPHCL’s Chairman-cum-Managing Director Sanjeev Hans highlighted the company’s commitment to adopting state-of-the-art technologies for quality power supply. Bihar SLDC stands out for establishing a Next-Gen Cyber Security Operation Centre and deploying over 4,100 ABT meters integrated with the SAMAST system, enhancing energy accounting for superior power management.
The BSPHCL continues to innovate, and this award reinforces its dedication to excellence and advanced power management.
