BSE, NSE to hold special live trading session on January 20: Know reason, check timings

In adherence to SEBI regulations, the National Stock Exchange (NSE) and Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE) are set to conduct a special live trading session on January 20, 2024 (Saturday). The purpose behind this session is to facilitate the transition to the Disaster Recovery (DR) site, ensuring operational readiness in handling unforeseen events.

Detailed Schedule and Timings:
– Morning Session on Primary Site:
– Block Deal Window: 8:45 am to 9 am
– Pre-open Session: 9 am to 9:08 am
– Normal Trading Session: 9:15 am to 10 am
– Call Auction Illiquid Session: 9:30 am to 9:45 am

– Special Trading Session on DR Site:
– Commences from 11:15 am
– Normal Trading: 11:23 am to 12:30 pm
– Closing Session on DR Site: 12:40 pm to 12:50 pm
– Market Closing Bell: 1 pm

The NSE Clearing will be unavailable from 10 am to 2 pm on the specified day. This switch from the Primary to DR site aligns with SEBI rules and regulations, ensuring the stock exchanges’ preparedness for seamless operations during unforeseen disruptions.
