Chai Sutta Bar’s founder, Anubhav Dubey, entered the discourse on paid period leave with a detailed LinkedIn post outlining his company’s stance on menstrual days. This follows Smriti Irani’s recent statement asserting that menstruation does not warrant specific paid leave, sparking a nationwide debate.

Dubey’s post on LinkedIn highlighted the decision to introduce ‘period leave’ at Chai Sutta Bar three months ago. He emphasized the importance of understanding women’s needs during this natural process, acknowledging varying responses from female team members.

In the post, Dubey expressed that while some women claimed they did not require period leave, others stressed its necessity due to unbearable cramps. He concluded by advocating for an open approach to such leave, emphasizing the importance of accommodating those who genuinely need it.
