New Delhi, Delhi experienced the coldest morning of the season, with the mercury dropping to 8.3°C, according to data from the Indian Meteorological Department (IMD). The minimum temperature is expected to marginally decrease in the coming days. The maximum temperature settled at 23.4°C, slightly below the season’s average.

Despite the chilly weather, Delhi’s air quality remains a concern, with an Air Quality Index (AQI) of 312 recorded at 6 pm on Sunday, categorizing it as ‘very poor.’ The relative humidity at 5:30 pm was reported at 60%.

In other parts of India, Fatehpur in Sikar, Rajasthan, recorded the lowest temperature at 5.2°C, while Srinagar experienced its coldest night of the season at minus 4.6°C. West Bengal’s Sandakphu and Tonglu witnessed the season’s first snowfall, attracting tourists eager to enjoy the snow-covered Kanchenjunga mountain range.
