In a recent development, the Enforcement Directorate (ED) is conducting raids at seven locations associated with Uddhav faction leader and MLA Ravindra Waikar and his partners. The focus of the raids is on alleged manipulation of land use conditions during the construction of a hotel in Jogeshwari. Tamil Nadu Transport Workers Declare Indefinite Bus Strike

Transport workers in Tamil Nadu have announced an indefinite bus strike, commencing on January 9, citing unmet demands by the state government. The demands include the signing of the 15th wage revision agreement, filling vacancies in bus driver and conductor posts, and releasing dearness allowances for retired workers. Despite the strike, the Metropolitan Transport Corporation (MTC) has reported that about 80% of buses are operational, and the strike has not significantly impacted public transportation.
