In a significant development, the Enforcement Directorate (ED) announced the seizure of Rs 5 crore in cash, five foreign-made weapons, 304 rounds of ammunition, 138 bottles of Indian Made Foreign Liquor (IMFL), and 5 kilograms of gold biscuits and jewelry from the residence of former Yamunanagar MLA Dilbagh Singh, affiliated with INLD. This revelation comes as part of the ED’s ongoing investigation into illegal mining activities involving Singh.

The seized items also include incriminating documents that reportedly detail Singh’s investments in domestic and foreign properties. The ED has referred the seized weapons, ammunition, and liquor to the Yamunanagar police for further investigation.

The ED’s focus on Singh is part of a broader crackdown on individuals involved in illicit mining practices. Additionally, searches at the residence of Congress legislator Surender Panwar continued for the second consecutive day.

While the ED has yet to specify the findings from the house of BJP leader Manoj Wadhwa, it remains evident that these actions underscore the government’s commitment to combating illegal mining and associated financial irregularities.
