In an unfolding saga, the CID has recorded statements from 66 individuals from Gujarat regarding the flight that was sent back from France. Operated by Romanian charter company Legend Airlines, the flight landed at Vatry near Paris on December 21, triggering a human trafficking probe by French authorities.

The Mumbai landing on December 26 involved 276 passengers, with 27 seeking asylum in France. Sanjay Kharat, Superintendent of Police, CID-Crime and Railways, revealed that details of 15 immigration agents suspected in the case have been gathered.

The CID is delving into the role of these agents, primarily from Mehsana, Ahmedabad, Gandhinagar, and Anand districts. The investigation aims to uncover the alleged involvement of agents in facilitating illegal entry into the USA via Dubai and Nicaragua.

As the CID assembles information on visas, transactions, and documentation, an FIR is expected soon. The Gujarat CID has sought assistance from the Central Bureau of Investigation to gather crucial details, highlighting the gravity of the situation.
