Severe fog in northern India has led to disruptions in transportation services, impacting flight operations in Jaipur, Patna, and Amritsar, as reported by Indigo Airlines. The dense fog has affected normal life and caused delays in Delhi-bound trains. The India Meteorological Department (IMD) highlighted very dense fog over Jammu, Punjab, Haryana-Chandigarh, West Rajasthan, Uttar Pradesh, and Bihar.
Train services to and from Delhi experienced delays, with twenty-two trains running behind schedule due to various reasons, including fog conditions in the northern region. The cold wave continued to grip several states, with large parts of northern India experiencing severe cold day conditions. Maximum temperatures remained below normal, prompting the IMD to declare cold day conditions in parts of Punjab, Haryana, Delhi, Uttar Pradesh, and north Madhya Pradesh.
