New Delhi, The upcoming GATE 2024, organized by the Indian Institute of Science (IISc), promises a gateway to numerous opportunities for candidates in Engineering, Technology, Science, Architecture, and Humanities. The exam, scheduled for February 3, 4, 10, and 11, will offer not only admission to postgraduate and doctoral programs but also various other prospects.
Admission Opportunities: Master’s and Doctoral Programs
Candidates with a valid GATE score can seek admission to Master’s programs and direct Doctoral programs in Engineering, Technology, Science, Architecture, and Humanities. Additionally, Doctoral programs in relevant branches are available in institutions supported by the Ministry of Education (MoE) and other Government agencies.
Financial Assistance: Support for Education
Candidates with valid GATE scores aiming for Master’s or Doctoral programs can also apply for financial assistance. M.Tech students receive Rs. 12,400 per month for 22 months, while Ph.D. programs offer Rs. 37,000 per month for the first two years and Rs. 42,000 per month from the third to the fifth year.
Recruitment Prospects: Public Sector Undertakings (PSUs)
A GATE score opens avenues for recruitment in various prestigious Public Sector Undertakings (PSUs). Some notable organizations utilizing GATE scores in their recruitment process include Bharat Heavy Electricals Limited (BHEL), Indian Oil Corporation Limited (IOCL), National Thermal Power Corporation (NTPC), and more.
