In a disturbing violation of human rights, Pakistani authorities have reportedly targeted Hindu places of worship. The Hinglaj Mata Mandir in Sindh province was demolished in the city of Mithi, citing a court order in Tharparkar District. Concurrently, the Sharda Peeth Mandir near the Line of Control (LoC) also faced demolition, despite a standing Supreme Court order protecting the temple.

The Sharda Peeth, recognized by UNESCO, fell victim to destruction, raising concerns about the preservation of cultural and religious heritage. Reports suggest the construction of a coffee house near the temple, scheduled for inauguration this November.

These incidents underscore the ongoing persecution faced by Hindus in Pakistan and contradict international preservation efforts. Questions arise about safeguarding cultural diversity and religious freedom in the region.
