Encouraging ‘Made in India’:

Putin endorsed Prime Minister Modi’s campaign to promote products that are “Made in India,” asserting that Russia also offers a range of domestically produced vehicles. He emphasized that there are no concerns regarding World Trade Organization (WTO) obligations, particularly for state purchases.

Putin suggested creating guidelines for the types of vehicles officials should use, emphasizing the benefits of utilizing Russian-made cars, which offer streamlined logistics.

Benefits of India-Middle East-Europe Economic Corridor (IMEC):

Putin also commented on the India-Middle East-Europe Economic Corridor (IMEC), stating that Russia views it as a project with significant benefits. He noted that the United States, the European Union, Saudi Arabia, and India had joined the initiative.

While acknowledging the late American involvement, Putin stated that he saw limited reasons for the United States to participate, primarily from a business interest perspective. He explained that the IMEC project complements Russia’s North-South project and emphasized its potential to enhance logistics.

Vladimir Putin’s commendation of India’s ‘Make in India’ initiative underscores the significance of domestic manufacturing and self-reliance in national economies.

India’s focus on promoting domestically produced goods and vehicles has received international recognition, emphasizing the importance of fostering local industries for economic growth and self-sustainability.
