New Delhi, Prime Minister Narendra Modi declared that Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman will present the budget with ‘disha-nirdeshak baatein’ (directive discussions) in the upcoming Budget session of Parliament. Emphasizing the government’s commitment to presenting an interim budget during election periods, PM Modi hinted at a full budget post-election.

The PM cautioned the opposition against disrupting proceedings, urging MPs to reflect on their commitment to democratic values. He highlighted the nation’s progress and pledged to continue the journey of “inclusive and all-round” development with the support of the people.

Referring to the Women’s Reservation Bill, Modi celebrated the strength and resolve demonstrated by Nari Shakti (women power) during the recent Nari Shakti Vandan Adhiniyam Bill passage.

The Budget session, concluding on February 9, will witness Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman presenting the interim budget on February 1.

In a separate development, Flipkart achieves its highest-ever single-day sale, grossing $200 million.
