Jerusalem, In a significant development in the ongoing Israel-Hamas conflict, Israeli forces reported the complete dismantling of Hamas’ military structure in northern Gaza. According to Army spokesperson Daniel Hagari, approximately 8,000 militants have been neutralized, and tens of thousands of weapons, along with millions of documents, have been seized.
“We have successfully eliminated the Hamas military framework in the northern Gaza Strip, leaving militants to operate sporadically without commanders,” stated Hagari. The focus has now shifted to dismantling Hamas in the central and southern parts of the Gaza Strip, a task acknowledged to take time.
The operations in the densely populated Jabaliya area involved precise and intelligence-based strikes, evacuating the civilian population to prevent harm. The IDF (Israel Defense Forces) successfully eliminated key Hamas commanders, disrupting their command and control.
The dismantling process consists of five objectives: eliminating commanders, engaging in ground combat against terrorists, gathering intelligence, locating and destroying weapons, and destroying underground infrastructure. The IDF has located computers, maps, communication devices, and conducted special operations to dismantle terror infrastructure without harming civilians.
Despite these military efforts, the conflict continues, with six casualties reported in an Israeli raid in Jenin in the occupied West Bank. Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has reiterated the commitment to “eliminate Hamas” and ensure the return of hostages held by the group.
The situation remains complex, with ongoing military operations and international concerns about civilian casualties. The IDF’s actions in dismantling Hamas are part of broader efforts to address security challenges in the region.
