New Delhi, In a move to streamline the visa and migration application process, Immigration New Zealand has officially accepted the IELTS One Skill Retake option, according to a press release by IELTS. This initiative allows test-takers to retake any one of the four skills (Listening, Reading, Writing, or Speaking) if they did not achieve their desired score in the first attempt.
The IELTS One Skill Retake has gained recognition from Immigration New Zealand as a valid and reliable method for assessing English language proficiency, meeting the stringent requirements for international migration to the country.
By enabling test-takers to focus on refining individual skills, the IELTS One Skill Retake aims to provide a more personalized approach to language assessment. Warwick Freeland, Managing Director of IELTS at IDP Education, emphasized that this acceptance is a testament to the quality and adaptability of the testing system.
Piyush Kumar, Regional Director of South Asia and Mauritius at IDP Education, expressed pride in supporting individuals on their journey toward international study and migration. The IELTS One Skill Retake is not only a recognition of diverse language capabilities but also aligns with the mission to facilitate seamless international migration opportunities.
Over 900 organizations, including UK Visas & Immigration and the Australian Department of Home Affairs, accept the IELTS One Skill Retake for registration in their respective sectors. Applicants opting for an IELTS One Skill Retake will receive a second Test Report Form (TRF) with their new score, which can be used for migration and study. Applicants can then choose whether to use the old or new TRF for the skill they retook.
