NEW DELHI: India successfully conducted a flight test of the RudraM-II air-to-surface missile from the Su-30 MK-I fighter jet, the Indian Air Force announced on Wednesday. According to an official statement from the Ministry of Defense, the test met all trial objectives, validating the propulsion system and control & guidance algorithm.

The RudraM-II, an indigenously developed solid-propelled air-launched missile system, is designed for Air-to-Surface roles to neutralize various enemy assets. Defense Minister Rajnath Singh stated that the successful test has solidified the RudraM-II as a significant force multiplier for the Armed Forces.

Earlier this month, on May 1, India successfully flight-tested a supersonic missile-assisted release of a torpedo system. Prior to that, the country conducted a successful test of a new medium-range ballistic missile version.
