New Delhi, Following the recent leadership changes in Rajasthan, Madhya Pradesh, and Chhattisgarh, Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) President JP Nadda elucidated the party’s stance on the future roles of veteran leaders Shivraj Singh Chouhan, Vasundhara Raje, and Raman Singh.

In an exclusive interaction at the Agenda AajTak 2023 conclave, Nadda emphasized the significance of a generational shift in the party’s state politics. He assured that the former Chief Ministers, being seasoned party leaders, will be assigned roles fitting their stature within the party. Nadda stated, “Everybody in the party is given its due. Our party doesn’t stop putting to use even a small worker.”

Responding to queries about any discontentment among the former CMs, Nadda conveyed a respectful approach, saying, “I tell them that ‘you have made a significant contribution to the party. Since we are heading towards a new direction, we need your support in this’.”

Explaining the meticulous process of selecting new leaders, Nadda highlighted the BJP’s comprehensive approach, stating, “In BJP, all workers are observed deeply—their history, their activities, and their responses. And we have a huge data bank, and we study it from time to time.” He revealed that the selection process commenced with ticket distribution during the election period, and after the election results, the consultations intensified, extending to the Cabinet selection.

The BJP recently appointed Mohan Yadav as the CM of Madhya Pradesh, Vishnu Deo Sai for Chhattisgarh, and Bhajan Lal Sharma as Rajasthan CM, representing a strategic move toward fresh leadership.
