Ayodhya, Prime Minister Narendra Modi is set to inaugurate the first Amrit Bharat push-pull train on December 30, enhancing travel for the common man between Ayodhya and Darbhanga. The train, previously referred to as Vande Sadharan, boasts improved comfort features and efficient push-pull operation for faster acceleration, reducing travel time.
Key Features of Amrit Bharat Train:
– 22 coaches, including 12 second-class 3-tier sleeper cars, 8 general second-class coaches, and two guards compartments.
– Aerodynamically designed WAP5 locomotives at both ends for push-pull configuration.
– Maximum speed of 130 kmph, jerk-free semi-permanent couplers, and improved gangways for seamless coach-to-coach movement.
– Enhanced passenger comfort with foldable snack tables, mobile chargers, and aesthetically pleasing seat design.
– Improved toilet facilities with zero discharge FRP modular toilets and aerosol-based fire suppression systems.
– Radium illumination flooring strip and faster acceleration for an improved travel experience.
PM Modi is expected to launch six new Vande Bharat Express train services and two Amrit Bharat trains during his visit to Ayodhya. The second Amrit Bharat train is anticipated to operate in South India.
