In a noteworthy development guided by the Central Personnel and Training Department, the Indian Administrative Service has witnessed a surge of 55 dynamic officers into the echelons of the Junior Administrative Grade. With a leap into the Additional Secretary level, boasting a lucrative pay scale ranging from 78,800 to 2,09,200, these promotions came into effect as these officers assumed their new responsibilities. The General Administration Department, in a buzz-worthy announcement on Monday, officially unveiled this wave of promotions.

This distinguished group of officers, hailing from the batches of 2011, 2012, 2013, and 2014, has been handpicked for this elevation within the Bihar cadre of the Indian Administrative Service (IAS). The official notification, crafted by Deputy Secretary Jagdish Kumar, outlines the promotion timelines, with Anil Kumar Jha stepping into his new role from February 15, 2023, and Naresh Jha taking the reins from December 14, 2023. The remaining 13 officers were not far behind, seizing their promotions from December 13, 2023.
