Sonpur: On Thursday, the central Minister of Transport and Waterways, Sarbananda Sonowal, inaugurated the international cargo terminal at Kallu Ghat in Sonpur. On this occasion, he expressed confidence in Bihar’s potential, stating that the state, filled with energy, has a history of guiding the world. Bihar, under Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s leadership, is progressing steadily, and Sonowal predicts that it will become the strongest state in the coming days.

Highlighting the collaborative efforts of different ministries, state governments, and the public, Sonowal emphasized that India is advancing under Modi’s leadership, and the nation is awakening. The newly inaugurated cargo terminal is expected to become a hub for employment and prosperity, benefiting farmers and facilitating seamless transportation from West Bengal to Nepal through waterways.

Sonowal commended the local Member of Parliament, Rajiv Pratap Rudy, for his efforts in making the terminal a reality. The terminal is poised to generate employment opportunities and enhance prosperity for the local populace. Additionally, it is anticipated to reduce pressure on rail and road transportation, providing a convenient means of transportation for goods from Bihar to various destinations.

Dr. Sanjay Jaiswal, Member of Parliament from Bettiah, lauded the efforts of local MPs and leaders, emphasizing that such initiatives contribute to the economic growth of the region. He highlighted ongoing projects worth Rs 32,000 crores in the Saran parliamentary constituency and announced upcoming developments like a 32-kilometer river dredging project.

The event received praise for fostering economic growth and employment opportunities in Bihar, with leaders expressing optimism about the state’s future under the leadership of Prime Minister Modi.
