Hundreds of residents gathered at Kalagram on Saturday to experience the 13th Chandigarh National Crafts Mela, organized by the North Zone Cultural Centre (NZCC) in collaboration with the Chandigarh administration.

The second day of the 10-day fair featured a musical extravaganza, presenting folk songs and dances from various states, including Punjab, Haryana, Himachal Pradesh, Jharkhand, Uttrakhand, Jammu and Kashmir, Sikkim, Assam, Manipur, and Rajasthan, providing spectators with a glimpse of their rich cultural traditions.

A special quiz focusing on art and culture engaged attendees, with six students from government schools declared winners. The quiz is scheduled to continue daily until December 10.

Craft artisans, journeying from different corners of the country, showcased a diverse array of articles, including crockery, cutlery, fabrics, winter wear, jewelry, carpets, rugs, mats, footwear, designer suits, and sarees. Furniture with intricate designs, such as sofa sets, dining sets, and beds, garnered significant interest.

Visitors enjoyed spending quality time in the rural-themed setting, providing a respite from the hustle and bustle of city life. Singer Lakhwinder Wadali is set to enthrall the audience with his tunes on Sunday evening.
