The Election Commission of India (ECI) is gearing up to address four major challenges ahead of the 2024 Lok Sabha elections. Let’s delve into these challenges, collectively referred to as the “4M”:

1. Muscle: Strong-arm Tactics

2. Money: Financial Influence

3. Miss Information: False Information

4. MCC Violations

The ECI is prepared to tackle these challenges head-on for the upcoming elections. Here’s how they plan to address the 4M:

– Zero tolerance for violence during elections

– Ensuring the sanctity of every vote cast

– Vigilance against the distribution of money to influence voters

– Seizing over 3400 crores in illicit funds during the past 11 elections

– Establishment of a control room in every district

The ECI is committed to ensuring free, fair, and transparent elections, with measures in place to counter any attempts to undermine the democratic process.
