A wedding celebration in Bihar turned into mourning as a fire broke out, claiming the lives of six individuals. The incident occurred late Thursday night at a wedding ceremony in Darbhanga. The festivities turned into chaos when a fire erupted in the erected canopy, drawing more than a dozen attendees. Information about the deaths of six individuals has been confirmed. The incident, which took place in Antour village under the jurisdiction of Baheda police station in Alinagar block, unfolded tragically.

The fire reportedly originated from a cylinder explosion, resulting in the tragic demise of six members of a single family. Upon receiving news of the fire, villagers gathered to extinguish it, but their efforts were in vain as the fire quickly spread. The flames engulfed a diesel stockpile near Ramchandra Paswan’s door, leading to the deaths of six family members and three cattle.

Speaking on the incident, the District Magistrate of Darbhanga stated that upon receiving information, administrative teams immediately arrived at the scene to provide all necessary assistance to the affected family. Investigations are underway to determine the cause of the tragedy, and a team has been dispatched for further inquiry. The bodies have been sent to the hospital for post-mortem examinations.
