Former Army Chief Mocks China’s Map, Calls It Accurate

Former Chief of Army Staff General Manoj Naravane (retd) took a swipe at China on Tuesday by sharing a map on the X social media platform (formerly Twitter), along with the caption, “Finally someone has got the map of China as it really is.”

The multicolored map clearly delineated several regions as ‘occupied’ areas, including Ladakh and Tibet.

This comes shortly after Beijing’s release of the 2023 edition of the “standard map of China” on August 28, which included Taiwan, the South China Sea, Arunachal Pradesh, and Aksai Chin as Chinese territories. India vehemently rejected this so-called “standard map,” asserting its claim over Arunachal Pradesh and Aksai Chin while lodging a strong protest with Beijing. New Delhi emphasized that such actions only serve to complicate the resolution of the boundary dispute.
