Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau acknowledges a shift in relations with India following the Pannun ‘murder’ controversy. Trudeau asserts a growing understanding that mere attacks won’t resolve issues, emphasizing the need for collaborative efforts. The diplomatic tension arose earlier when Trudeau suggested Indian government involvement in the murder of Sikh separatist leader Hardeep Singh Nijjar. India vehemently rejected these claims as ‘absurd,’ leading to the expulsion of several diplomats.

Trudeau indicates a willingness to collaborate but acknowledges challenges, stating, “There’s an understanding that maybe, maybe just churning out attacks against Canada isn’t going to make this problem go away.”

The situation remains delicate, with ongoing discussions and differing perspectives on the allegations.
