Hyderabad,  Former Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao (KCR) was admitted to Yashoda Hospital in Hyderabad after a fall at his residence. The 69-year-old leader suffered a left hip fracture, confirmed by CT scans. His condition is reported as stable, and medical authorities anticipate a recovery period of six to eight weeks following left hip replacement surgery.

KCR, who served as Chief Minister from 2014 to 2023, had been active in post-election engagements at his home in the days preceding the incident. Prime Minister Narendra Modi expressed concern for KCR’s well-being, wishing him a speedy recovery. KCR’s fall follows the recent loss of the state assembly polls to the Congress party.

The hospital bulletin detailed the need for hip replacement and assured that the recovery process is underway. Congress’s Revanth Reddy has assumed the role of Chief Minister after the recent electoral outcomes, marking a shift in Telangana’s political landscape.
